In most cases there is very little if any pain involved in laser hair removal. The laser keeps the skin very comfortable during treatment. However, some clients are more sensitive than others.

Is it okay to shave or sunbathe immediately prior to treatment?

No. Because the laser targets the melanin in the follicle beneath the skin, it is best to shave at least twelve hours prior to treatment. Sun exposure should be avoided as much as possible. Sun tanning should be avoided, and waxing, plucking, and electrolysis should be discontinued at least two weeks before treatment begins.

Is the treatment completely safe?

Am I a good candidate for laser hair removal?

Different laser wavelengths allow for treatment of all skin colors, but will work best on hair with pigment. It is safe to use on children. Laser hair removal is an excellent choice for men and women who have unwanted hair on their face and neck, arms, underarms, back, legs, bikini area and hands and feet. It is the ideal choice for those who are tired of the maintenance required by temporary methods of hair removal.

Most areas can be treated in as little as six sessions. However, the number of sessions required varies from person to person, depending on hair type, skin type and the size of the area to be treated. Laser hair removal technology effects hair that is in an active growth phase, and not all hair in a particular area will be in the same growth phase. Repeated sessions are generally necessary, and this repetition makes light based hair removal extremely effective. We will do our very best until you are completely satisfied.
