A New Dimension in the Spa Experience
Vibra Trim is an innovative, state-of-the-art service that revitalizes the spa experience and adds variety to your treatment options.
By delivering vibrations that contract every muscle in the body, Vibra Trim dramatically increases circulation while stimulating lymphatic drainage to detoxify and revitalize. Increased circulation can also help alleviate pain and stress, making Vibra Trim the perfect complement to body wraps, massage and other therapeutic treatments helping to bring body and mind into harmony.
Vibra Trim whole body vibration stimulates reflexive muscle response and activates more muscle fibers. That means the effect of holding a pose or performing a stretch is enhanced—so shorter sessions yield faster results. Guests' can see and feel results in as little as two or three short sessions a week, making it easier for them to achieve what’s possible.
Benefits are more than skin deep
Vibra Trim is the next generation of spa and beauty technology, delivering whole body vibration that can aid weight loss, reduce the appearance of cellulite, enhance relaxation and even help alleviate pain. In fact, scientific studies have shown the link between vibration treatments and increases in bone density, critical in combating osteoporosis. We are committed to helping people achieve harmony and feel their best.
How it Works
Vibra Trim transmits waves of energy throughout the body, making muscle fibers contract between 25 and 50 times per second, enhancing the coordination and efficiency of both muscles and nerves in the body.
The vibrations create instability that forces the body to respond with multi-directional contractions as a counter balance and this type of complex reaction is what is required within everyday life. This is essentially a more powerful version of already established "stabilization" equipment, such as fit balls and core boards, the underlying principles are the same.
The instability created, forces activation, (switching on), of additional nervous tissue and muscle fibers including the 'core' musculature. The more muscle you "switch on", the more is available to tone and burn calories. The instability enhances the flexibility and strength of the tendons and ligaments around joints, (unlike most traditional exercise) this makes people stronger and more aware of their own body, reducing the risks of injury.
This is a real breakthrough in training and conditioning as we can now optimally "load" the human frame while minimizing high impact, high load, and high stress factors. As we can maximise involvement of the body as a whole, without necessarily going through great ranges or even any movement, it provides a powerful tool in the areas of rehabilitation and exercise prescription for those with medical conditions like arthritis, osteoporosis, arthritis, multiple sclerosis, and Parkinson's Disease.
(Scientific medical research for many of the benefits of vibration technology exists within most of the academic literature)
Immediate improvements in blood circulation
Increased muscle strength and flexibility
Increased joint range of motions
Increased bone mineral density
Reduced pain and soreness
Faster recovery and regeneration from injury and training, (research support includes Moezy et al (2008), that indicated enhanced recovery from anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction surgery using vibration technology during rehabilitation)
Enhanced metabolism and lymphatic flow and reductions in cortisol (which is a stress hormone)
Little impact on the joints and ligaments
Capacity for whole body massage and relaxation
Increases the production of collagen to encourage firmer, smoother skin
Helps prevent age-related muscle loss, bone density loss and skin wrinkles
People with medical conditions can exercise while working within their personal physical limitations
Helps prevent injuries through enhanced propriceptive awareness and control
Improves pelvic floor stress (helps to reduce bladder problems)
Relieves menopausal symptoms
Increases the happiness hormone serotonin and nerotrophine
If you have any known medical conditions, or any physical limitation on your ability to exercise, we strongly recommends that you seek the advice of a physician before using Whole Body Vibration.
It is always advisable for people to consult with their physician before starting any exercise/therapy program. Ongoing research in the field of Whole Body Vibration (WBV) indicates that many conditions can benefit from this form of therapy. However, if you suffer from any of the following contraindications it is imperative that you discuss Whole Body Vibration therapy with your physician before beginning any training program.
This list of contraindications is not absolute. Pregnancy, Detached Retina, Acute/ Deep Vein Thrombosis, Serious Cardiovascular Disease, Pacemaker, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Acute hernia, Discopathy, Acute disc related problems, Spondylosis, gliding Spondylolisthesis or fractures, Severe Diabetic neuropathy, Tumors, Recent Surgeries, Epilepsy, Gallstones, Kidney stones, Bladder stones, Cardiac dysrhythmias, Acute Rheumatoid Arthritis, Acute/sever inflammations, infections and/ or fever, Acute Migraine, Fresh (surgical) wounds, Surgical metal implants, Osteonecrosis, Severe Osteoporosis with BMD < 70mg/ml, Metastatic Tumors.
